Clatsop Community College and the Astoria Chapter of the American Association of University Women
are hosting a Candidates’ Forum, Wednesday, October 10, starting at 7:00pm in
Columbia Hall, Room 219, 1651 Lexington Avenue, Astoria.
Participating
candidates include: Commissioner of the
Bureau of Labor and Industries: Brad Avakian, Oregon State
Representative-District 32: Debbie Boone and challengers Perry
Roll and Jim Welsh. Clatsop County Sheriff: Tom Bergin and challenger Jim Pierce, also City of Astoria
Councilor-Ward 2: Peter
Roscoe, and challenger Drew Herzig, and City of Astoria
Councilor-Ward 4: Russ

Voters are invited to attend this Candidates’ Forum in order to meet the candidates
and learn about their positions regarding important issues. Questions will be
taken from the audience to ensure attention to issues of locally defined
significance. Voter registration forms will also be available. The deadline for
registration to vote in the November general election is Tuesday, October 16,
2012.
