WorkSource Oregon Launches Mobile Websites For Job Searches

WorkSource Oregon’s statewide job bank is now accessible on mobile devices.  The website www.WorkInOregon.jobs gives Oregonians access to job listings 24/7 anywhere there is Internet access.  And, www.WorkInOregon-Veterans.jobs allows military veterans the opportunity to search job openings in Oregon by their military job title or code.

Job opportunities can be searched by city, employer name and key word. These sites only list available jobs from employers verified by WorkSource Oregon. This means each job listing on www.WorkInOregon.jobs and www.WorkInOregon-Veterans.jobs is a valid job opening.

WorkSource Oregon worked with the nonprofit employer group DirectEmployers Association and the National Labor Exchange to create www.WorkInOregon.jobs and www.WorkInOregon-Veterans.jobs. A job seeker does not have to be registered with WorkSource Oregon in order to take advantage of these new tools, enabling more job seekers access to the thousands of openings featured on the sites.

The websites are easily viewable on smartphones and other mobile devices and feature social media links, allowing users to quickly share job postings via Facebook, Twitter, email and more.

WorkSource Oregon assists job seekers in finding employment through 47 WorkSource Oregon Centers statewide.  Staff in the WorkSource Oregon Centers provide help with resume writing, job search workshops, training opportunities, job search assistance and other services.  The new websites, www.WorkInOregon.jobs and www.WorkInOregon-Veterans.jobs are the latest state-of-the-art tools to help Oregonians gain employment. These new sites are in addition to those already available to job seekers.

For more information, contact the WorkSource Oregon Center in your area.  A list of centers can be found at www.WorkSourceOregon.org.
