Clatsop Community
College announces the addition of Professional Truck Driving training to its
fall schedule of classes. Training prepares students to enter a wide variety of
work in the transportation and logistics industry. Job opportunities include
warehousing and local delivery as well as interstate truck operation for
graduates who are 21 or older.
Students participate in
training related to transportation and logistics. Upon completion of the four
week, 10 credit program, students are prepared for the Class A CDL license
examination, and typically complete this exam on their last day of
class.
The CCC Professional
Truck Driving program is offered in an intensive four-week, 40 hours per week
format in cooperation with the International Institute of Transportation
Resource, Inc. (IITR) Truck School from October 22 through November 16, 2012.
This is a fee-based program with a total cost of approximately $4,700.
Participants earn 10 college credits that can be used toward additional
certification at Clatsop Community College.
