Merkley will update constituents on his
work in Washington, DC also answer questions and invite suggestions
about how to tackle the challenges facing Oregon and
America.
“Talking directly to Oregonians in every county is a great
way to hear about the issues folks want me to fight for in Washington,” said
Merkley. “I urge all residents of Clatsop and Columbia Counties to come and
share their opinions and work with me to make our state and nation a stronger
place.”
In 2008, Merkley pledged to hold town halls in each of
Oregon’s 36 counties every year. He upheld his pledge in the previous four years
and is continuing that commitment in 2013. Clatsop and Columbia Counties will be
his 145th and 146th town halls as a U.S.
Senator.
Merkley will be in Astoria on Monday, January 7th at the Kern Room of the Columbia River Maritime Museum at 10:30AM
The Columbia County Town Hall will take place on Monday, January 7th in the Columbia City Community Hall, 1850 Second Street, at 2:30pm
The Tillamook County Town Hall till take place on Friday, January 11th, at the Kiawanda Community Center, 34600 Cape Kiwanda Dr., in Pacific City.
