Traffic Impacts: City of Astoria 11th St CSO Separation project.

PROJECT UPDATE
8th St was paved last week with the first lift from Kensington to Niagara. The final lift of asphalt will be installed in the next two weeks, weather permitting. Tapani will continue working on curbs, sidewalk and intersection corner ramps on 8th St between Franklin and Niagara. Some of the street striping work was completed last week and the final striping effort will be done when weather allows.

Final project work and cleanup activities have begun with the expectation that the project will be complete by early December.

PROJECT SCHEDULEThe following is a schedule of anticipated road closures due to construction for this coming week:
  • Construction of curbs, sidewalks and intersection corner ramps will continue on 8th St between Franklin and Niagara. 8th St will be closed to through traffic between Kensington and Niagara. Intersections will likely be open to east-west traffic when construction is not underway. Short-term lane closures may be necessary between Franklin and Kensington.
  • Street striping within the project area. Short-term traffic lane and parking lane closures will be necessary during the striping operation
Tapani will continue working Monday through Friday (10 hour days).
