The public is invited
to participate in a facilitated community conversation regarding the future
operation of the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center (PAC) and
Partners for the PAC. This visioning session is scheduled for Monday, March
4, 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the CCC Performing Arts Center, 16th and
Franklin. Light refreshments will be provided. A goal of the project is to
develop a sustainable structure and business plan that will ensure the future of
the PAC as a community-wide asset.
Through a grant
provided by The Ford Family Foundation, Clatsop Community College, the CCC
Foundation and Partners for the PAC (a consortium of local cultural
organizations) will collaborate to determine the feasibility of continuing
operation of the PAC as an affordable space for cultural and educational
programs. Organizational options for the Partners for the PAC and a sustainable
fundraising plan will be explored.
Kathi Jaworski will
facilitate the community meeting and subsequent discussions with CCC and
Partners for the PAC. Ms. Jaworski is the principal in Write to Know, providing
support to non-profit organizations. She has an extensive background in
non-profit management, strategy and leadership, and previously served as
Executive Director of the Oregon-based Rural Development Initiatives and as
