CLATSOP COUNTY COVER OREGON APPLICATION FAIR APRIL 23-24

  

Clatsop County residents interested in applying for health insurance coverage under the Cover Oregon insurance marketplace can get personal assistance at one of two Application Fairs April 23 and 24.

The events are:

Cannon Beach – April 23, 1-5:30 p.m. – City Hall, 163 E. Gower

Warrenton – April 24, 3-6 p.m. – Northwest Oregon Housing Authority, 147 S. Main

Cover Oregon is the state’s new online marketplace where Oregonians can shop for health insurance, choose from different health insurance companies  to find plans that will fit their needs and budget, and access savings to help pay for coverage.

The deadline for Oregonians to apply through Cover Oregon has been extended to April 30. The extended application period is targeted to people purchasing private health insurance coverage either through Cover Oregon or directly from an insurance carrier. People who purchase through Cover Oregon can access tax credits and other financial assistance.

Oregonians who are eligible for the Oregon Health Plan or Healthy Kids can apply for coverage year-round.

As of April 3, there have been more than 200,000 enrollments through Cover Oregon.
