Clatsop County is
accepting applications for the County Forestland Classification
Committee.
The Forestland
Classification Committee is charged with reviewing all lands within Clatsop
County to determine if they meet the definition of Forestland under the Oregon
Department of Forestry’s fire protection program. The committee will meet 2-3
times per month for the next three years; individuals must be able to commit to
the entire three years to be considered. The meetings will take place in
Astoria, with the possibility of field trips throughout the county.
At least one of the
committee members must be an owner of forestland, or a representative thereof.
If you are interested please submit a cover letter (of no more than two pages)
and resume which clearly describes your interest, skills, and knowledge of
forestland and fire protection in Clatsop County. The Board of Commissioners
will make the appointments.

applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9. To apply, submit you application, resume
and cover letter to the Clatsop County Manager’s Office at 800 Exchange St.,

from the County Manager’s Office or can be downloaded from the county website,
www.co.clatsop.or.us.
