The Astoria
Warming Center’s
first Volunteer Orientation and Training session will be held Sunday, Nov.
30th, 2 - 4 pm, at the Astoria Warming Center
(Senior Center),
1111 Exchange Street
in Astoria, Attendees
will learn about serving either as a volunteer or a support person. There will
be an over-view of the Warming
Center operation, a tour
of the facility, and a training to ensure that volunteers and those seeking
shelter will be both comfortable and safe. - The training is free, and no one
taking the training is obligated to volunteer at the Warming Center.
