The deadline to file as a candidate for one of several local offices up for election this November is Aug. 24.

Candidates for city council positions file with the respective cities. call the cities to find out about filing fees, petition signatures and other requirements. Tillamook PUD candidates file with the Tillamook County Clerk (503-842-1599).

Deadline to submit statements for the Voters Pamphlet is Sept. 7.
